Presentation: Offensive Wireless Tactics “used in DEFCON 23’s Wireless CTF”
With a few cheap components you can DOS almost any wireless network or create your own rogue access point. In this talk offensive and defensive tactics will be discussed in how to triangulate a rogue access point (fox hunting) and how to avoid detection. This will be followed by a hands on evening WCTF (wireless capture the flags) where you’ll need to DOS, Spoof, and hack your way to the flag! It’s a cat and mouse game.

From chicken coops to model rockets and even bee hives, he finds a way to automate everything. Before being called to the dark side, Eric procured a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a well-loved graphing calculator to prove it. He now enjoys surfing the airwaves with Aircrack, his HackRF and ham radio. Last year his team placed 1st in DEFCON 23’s Wireless CTF.
